Darkness Falls

Before they were monsters, they were messengers. Their wings once turned the vault of heaven into a storm of living light—until the first blade was drawn above the throne. In a single, sundering breath, the war ended: feathers burned to ash, halos shattered, and those who defied the edict were hurled from grace, their fall carving scars of fire across the sky.

They did not die when they struck the earth. They learned how to fall forever. Stranded in a world of rusted church bells and broken prayers, the fallen carve empires out of ruin, ruling slums and sanctuaries with the memory of a light they no longer dare to name. Their wings are gone, ripped from their shoulders in the moment of betrayal—yet legend whispers of shards scattered across the world, jagged fragments of the first Heaven forged in war.

Darkness Falls is a dark fantasy, dark fiction tale of exiled angels waging a quiet war across a ruined earth. To claw their way back through the gates they once guarded, they must hunt the scattered shards of their lost wings—each one a weapon, a wound, or a promise. As factions rise and old loyalties rot, fallen seraphim, human cults, and those who profit from damnation converge on the same whispered prize. To ascend, something holy must be broken again. To refuse is to sink, wings or not, into a darkness that lingers long after you close your eyes.
